Courtside Policies
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
If alcohol is served on Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center premises under Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center (or elsewhere under Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center’s alcoholic license), Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center will require that only Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center servers and bartenders dispense the beverages. Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center alcoholic beverage license requires Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center to: (1) Request proper identification (photo ID) of any person of questionable age and refuse alcoholic beverage service if either the person is underage or without proper identification. (2) Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center reserves the right to refuse service of alcoholic beverage to any guest that appears to be intoxicated. (3) Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center reserves the right to remove any containers of alcohol that have been brought into Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center from off premises by the client or a guest, with exception of a contracted agreement by Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center.
DECORATIONS
All decorations incorporating candles must meet with the San Clemente Fire Department codes. Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center does not permit the use of fog machines or open flames. Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center does not allow affixing of anything to the walls, doors, ceiling and floors of any rooms or area. If this policy is not adhered to, the client will be held financially responsible for any necessary repairs. The use of birdseed, rice, etc. is not permitted on Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center Property. Enhancements to the room such as chair covers, lighting and themed events are available through Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center. Consult with your catering manager for a list of services and pricing.
SEATING
Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center will provide the round dining tables and the chairs for your event. Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center reserves the right to change rooms or venue if necessary due to guaranteed attendance changes, or inclement weather, with notification to the client.
LINENS
Basic white linens are provided. Any additional color or specialty linens may be ordered through the catering department at an additional cost to the client.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center shall not assume responsibility for any lost, stolen or damaged articles left on the premises prior, during or after your event. Arrangements for security of any props, decoration items, etc. must be made prior to the planned event. A refundable $500.00 security deposit is required.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
No food or beverages of any kind will be permitted to be brought onto the premises. All food and beverage, including any alcoholic beverages, must be provided by the Courtside Restaurant. Exception: Wedding cakes and candy buffets may be brought in. Outside caterers are allowed only with approval of the catering manager, should the executive chef be unable or unwilling to create requested catering menu. If the catering manager approves an outside caterer, the charge to the client is fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500), payable to Courtside Catering. All children must be supervised. We reserve the right to ask any guest in these areas to leave the premises. All rentals, such as heaters, tents, tables, and chairs will be supplied by Courtside, unless otherwise outlined in the proposal. All vendors (DJ, etc.) must provide all equipment they will need. Courtside will not have this equipment available.
HOLD HARMLESS
The performance of the agreement by either party is subject to Acts of God, government regulations, disaster, strikes, civil disorder, curtailment of transportation, facilities, or any other emergency making it illegal or impossible to provide the facilities, or to hold the event. Client agrees to indemnify the Courtside Restaurant for any claims arising out of negligent or willful acts by the patron or any of its guests.
CANCELLATIONS
Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center requires written notification to terminate an agreement. A cancellation fee will be assessed based on the length of notice to the event as listed below. This fee will include the paid advance deposit. Expenses incurred by the Courtside Restaurant and Banquet Center in preparation for the function will become the client’s responsibility. Cancellations during the last 30 days will result in a 100% non-refundable charge.
